A space where you can be yourself and become your own hero

Welcome.

I’m Elijah Stinger, LCSW, and I offer therapy that honors who you are and the path you’re on. My practice, based in Austin, Texas, is a place for queer, trans, and neurodivergent folks to step into their power, process what’s been holding them back, and move forward with clarity and courage. Whether you’re navigating trauma, identity, or big life changes, you don’t have to do it alone. This is your space to show up fully, no mask required.

Every Hero Needs a Place to Recharge

My office is not your average therapy space; imagine a forest from Lord of the Rings with a side of comic book inspiration. A Superman figure watches over the bookshelf, and the vibe says, “You belong here.

This space was built for people who often feel out of place elsewhere: LGBTQ+ folks, neurodivergent adults, creatives, and those who move through the world a little differently. Many of my clients have felt overlooked or misunderstood in other therapy settings. Here, that story starts to shift.

You won’t find sterile white walls or a one-size-fits-all approach. You’ll find realness, respect, and therapy that adapts to you, not the other way around.

Why Austin?

I’m proud to be part of Austin’s vibrant and diverse mental health community. Austin is a vibrant, weird, and creative place, and that energy runs through my practice.

I work with people who live and love outside the lines. My clients are often seekers, creatives, caregivers, deep feelers, late bloomers, and brave humans figuring things out one step at a time. I understand how this city influences who we are and how we move through the world.

Working with a therapist in Austin who understands the local culture and queer community can make a difference. Whether you’re looking for in-person support or virtual therapy across Texas, I’m here to offer grounded, non-judgmental care that reflects your lived experience.

Why the Superhero Theme?

It’s not about perfection or power poses. It’s about reclaiming your story and recognizing that the strength you need is already within you. My practice takes a gentle, nerd-friendly approach to therapy, informed by my own love for comic books, fantasy worlds, and stories of transformation.

This superhero energy shows up in how we work together. Therapy becomes a space where you can take off the mask, stop performing, and start reconnecting with your values, your voice, and your sense of direction. You don’t need a costume. Just honesty, curiosity, and a willingness to begin.
